Imagining what it was like

We have been learning about what life was like in the Wampanoag tribe.  This week we created models of a Wetu, a typical summer dwelling for the tribe.  Ask your child what the natives used to make theirs, and how we recreated them in our models.

We will be finishing our study of the Wampanoag this week, and moving on to the Pilgrims next week.  We are excitedly awaiting our trip to Plimouth Plantation at the end of this month.

  1. Luke loved making this! He keeps trying to make more of them at home. So fun!

    1. Thanks for the feedback. I am so happy that someone is reading along, and also happy that Luke enjoyed it. It will be exciting to see an actual wetu Thursday at Plimouth Plantation.
