The Science Report

Today's guest bloggers are Anya, Jacob, and Ryan.

In science we are learning phases of the moon.  These are the phases:  new moon, waxing crescent, quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent, and new moon again.  We are also learning how they look in each phase.  We started a moon journal.  How it works is, we write one fact each night. We also have to look at the moon, or research on an electronic how it looks. Our teacher picks two people to share one of their facts at morning meeting.  Here are some facts:  it takes the moon 27.3 days to orbit the earth; \there are eight planets and three dwarf planets;  there is no life on our moon; the moon has no atmosphere;  there is low gravity on the moon.  Next, we are going to study star constellations.
